Damascus Road Shield of Faith

Fasting Covenant with God

During the next 21 days, we have entered into a covenant with God to participate in the Chosen Fast according to Isaiah 58.  We have repented of all our sins.  We have pledged to have a right attitude towards all men.  We have forgiven our enemies.  We vowed to tithe and help the needy.  We also claim and receive the 20 Blessings of Isaiah 58 that God promised to those who would fast.

Matthew 18:18-20 says:

       "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

The 20 Blessings of Isaiah

  1. My light shall break forth like the  

      morning.

  2. God would heal me completely.

  3. God's righteousness would open

      doors for me.

  4. The Glory of God would guard me

      from my secret enemies.

  5. I will call on the Lord, and He will

      answer my prayers.

  6. When I cry, God will reveal Himself.

  7. God's light will raise me out of

      darkness.

  8. My darkness shall be as the

      noonday.

  9. The Lord will guide me in every

      decision.

10. He will satisfy my soul in drought.

11. He will strengthen my bones.

12. I will be like a watered garden.

13. I will be like a spring of water that

      never fails.

14. God will remove every generational

      curse.

15. I shall raise up a new generation

      under the blessings of God.

16. I shall be called the "Repairer of the

      breach."

17. I will be known as the "Restorer of

      the streets to dwell in."

18. My fast causes me to delight myself

      in the Lord.

19. God will cause me to ride on the

      "High places of the earth."

20. God will bless me with the same

      prosperity that He gave to Jacob.
